Tom and Mitch go over the history of terraforming in the fiction and academic fields where Mitch then takes us on a tour of the solar system explaining how we would need to change each planet to make it habitable. Tom explores some alternatives to terraforming which include making habitats or genetically modifying humans. The boys end the show talking about The Rings of Power… because of course they do! The boys start out discussing the latest NASA Artemis mission before moving onto topic with China seeding clouds to induce rain. They cover the basics of geoengineering and the two main proposed methods that refer to solar manipulation and the removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. ADDICTION! Join the boys this week as they help you to understand addiction better! After the news about necrorobotics (animating dead spiders) and reviving organs in pigs the boys crack on with the main content. Tom explains what addiction is and how our perception has changed while also deep diving into the neurological affects of addiction and how it moulds your brain. Mitch talks about the psychological effects of addiction and talks about how games can play off of the reward pathway in the brain to get you to spend more money and play longer.
